There had always been a problem at Kapita Community School  . . . no water for drinking or washing.

Despite many, many attempts at drilling none were ever sucessfull and every pupil had to carry water to school each day.

So before we even started to dig trenches for the foundations at Kapita's proposed new site
we looked for water.
The local children thought it was very exciting and lots of fun.
Despite drilling day and night and even finding several layers of water there wasn't enough to make a good borehole so we are looking at alternatives  . . maybe making a well instead.
We'd like to thank the USAID SPLASH team for funding the drilling at Kapita.
