In 2014 we received a very generous donation from Robin Pope.  Robin, who
is married to our Founding Trustee
Jo, has long had an association
with the communities in Nsefu Chiefdom. He personally donated $20,000 to help us  put iSchool
into Kapita community School.
What's iSchool?
iSchool is a complete interactive learning package using tablets
(called ZeduPads) covering the
whole of the Primary Zambian curriculum.
Both teachers and kids love using
the ZeduPads and Kapita’s Deputy
Head Teacher tells us that since they have been using them attendance has improved.  But Kapita isn’t the only school to benefit.  Katapila Community School is the second in the area to recive Zedupads.
Of course you need to be able to charge the Zedupads so as Kapita
is not connected to mains electricity
we installed solar power.  The panels
will be moved to the new school
when it is complete.
Visitors love the Zedupads as
much as the pupils and it's great
when they can join in a lesson.
You can find
out more about
iSchool and ZeduPads
here.
A big thank you to Robin Pope from Project Luangwa, the pupils,
teachers parents and community
for funding iSchool at Kapita
and bringing technology to this
little rural school. The kids love it!
